A special note from his daughter,
Dad was one heck of a guy. Not everyone got along with him nor seen eye to eye but one thing is for sure, if anyone needed something Dad was always there to do what he could. It was a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on or someone to help out a friend.. That’s what dad did. If there was one thing Dad was good at, that was being a papaw. The grand kids will miss you dearly but i thrive for them to hold on to the good happy memories that you have given them. He was a truck driver for many many years. He also loved to fish. Nobody knew how well he enjoyed fishing quite like his son Mark. They spent so much time together and made many many great memories. They were partner in crime, (just ask my mom). Dad is so proud of the man that you have turned into. You are a great son, brother, husband and daddy. You are dad all over and i know you will carry on who dad is forever. Dad you will be missed and you are loved so much. Mom was your rock and she was all you needed. She knew that and that is why she loved you wholehearted til the end. She was the one who made everything better. She is broken and a little lost but i know time will help her along her way. I know you will watch over us all. Until we meet again
Love, Your wife, your children, their spouses, grand-children and Vicki

It brings my heart such sadness to say goodbye to Mark. Growing up, I practically lived with Sharon and Mark lol. Makenzi and I were inseparable. I’ll never forget when Mark worked for the carriage place and took Makenzi and I to work one evening. We got to pet the horses and feed them treats & I remember thinking how cool it was that makenzi’s dad worked with horses. I remember when we went to my first and only Monster Truck show and saw Grave Digger! He also bought me the tickets to my first ever concert because I was 16 and trying so hard to save up to go with Makenzi (Rascal Flatts!) There are so many memories I have of this man, he had done so much for me growing up & as we lay him to rest, it gives me peace knowing that he lives on in the memories we share as friends and family. I hope you’re up there looking down on us. See you later big guy!

I only knew you for a short time but your strong love has been made clear through my son, Kyle, Makenzi’s husband. He love you like a father Mark and he is a better, stronger man because of the time he spent with your family. You, my friend, will be missed.

Mark was a good man and will be missed greatly, but his life will forever live on through you and your memories of him. Sharon, you will forever in my eyes be one of the strongest women I’ve known, I wish you peace and comfort in knowing you did everything you needed to do to take care of Mark in his final days on this earth. I love you all. Rest in peace Big Mark <3

Lord. Where do i begin? I miss you so much papaw.. You were my best friend for 15 years and you still are. Not a day, minute, hour, or second goes by that i don’t think about you… I miss you so much. I miss hearing your voice and i miss hugging you everytime i came over to see you.. One thing i do really miss is those phone calls. I loved it when you would call me to ask me how i was doing. If i was doing good in school. Or when you would ask me when i was coming over to visit.. I love you so much papaw.. And i miss you dearly..

There are no words to describe how I felt about you. We may have not seen eye to eye in the beginning but in the end we had a bond that I could not explain. I will always cherish the memories we had, its so hard writing this through tears. I hope you and my dad are up there having a ball! You both were good men in my life and now you guys are both up there together. Thank you for blessing the world with the man I get to spend the rest of my life with, you raised him to he an amazing man. He treats me so wonderful and that’s because of you. Until we meet again, I love you.
